F&R Construction Group, Inc. recently completed its latest Project: a modern three story building with an impressive glass facade in the heart of Santurce, which houses AOR Building Supplies, Inc. new offices and warehouse. To carry out this project, the facilities of the formerly abandoned San Carlos Hospital had to be demolished, thus contributing to the Santurce revitalization and economic development.
The superb building, located in the corner of Ponce de Leon Avenue and Jordán Street, includes a main warehouse area approximately 49,000 square feet of construction, consisting of a mezzanine for service and office areas and a basement with a humidity control system.
The main building consists of three stories that face the Ponce de León Avenue, and is attached to the main warehouse. The first floor consists of 3,300 square feet for the showroom, the second floor has 3,700 square feet for the administration offices and the third floor has a 1,600 square feet area for training and seminars. AOR new facilities has 57 parking spaces available for its employees and its clients.
The building was designed by architect José Bird, AIA, from the firm V Architecture, PSC. Joaquín deMari Monserrate; Babilonia Engineering Group; Juan R. Requena & Associates and Pedro Cortés and Associates, Inc. were also part of the design and consulting team.
Founded in 1935, AOR Building Supplies is a Puerto Rican company that sells construction materials for interior works.
